Who can place an advert?
Basically anyone can place an advert. Businesses are also welcome to use this site, although we request that they identify their adverts as trade so as not to mislead. If you are aware of business advertising as an individual, please let us know and we will contact them to rectify the situation.
We reserve the right to delete adverts that we consider to be inappropriate for this site. Adverts which do not make clear an item for sale; or those which attempt to mislead or con the public will be deleted and membership may be withdrawn.

How do I place an ad?
In order to place an ad you must first register with adsite.co.uk. You will receive an automated email to confirm your registration. Once registered, simply log in and go to your 'my ads' page. From there you can create, edit or delete adverts.
To 'create a new ad' complete the details for your advert and include a photo if you wish. Choose the category in which you wish your ad to appear; the length of time you want your ad to show and the area in which you want to place your ad. Finally click on 'create advert' and your ad will be visible online. You will automatically receive an email confirming the details of the advert placed.

Can I place a number of ads?
You may place any number of adverts. Please make sure that you place them in the appropriate category.

How long will it be before my ad appears online?
An advert will appear on adsite.co.uk within seconds of being placed. You will automatically receive an email confirming the details of the advert placed.

How long will my ad stay online?
When you place an advert, you may choose the number of days that your ad will be shown online. If at the end of this time period the item for sale has not sold you may extend the time period.

Is there a word limit for adverts placed?
There is no restriction on the number of words when placing an ad, however it is in the advertisers interest to be clear, detailed, yet precise.

Why do I need to register to place an ad?
In order to place an advert you need to give your contact details; registering with adsite.co.uk simply makes it easier for you to use the site to edit, amend and place further ads without having to give your details every time.

Why do you advise not to publish my email address?
Whilst we do not object to you including your email address in your advert description, we do not advise it. Once your email address is published online you are likely to receive endless junk emails and spam, and in some cases fraudulent emails intending to con or mislead in order to gain funding or further personal information which could lead to identity theft. Our advice is simply to protect your email address. We will not give your email address to any third party.
For further information on scams to beware of, please read our 'Safety Advice' section in 'How To Use This Site'.

Can I remove or edit my ad?
You can remove or change your ad at any time. Simply log into your account and click on 'my ads'. You may delete your ad or withdraw it from being shown live yet hold it in your records to re-instate at a later date.

Where can I get help with placing an ad?
You may contact us by email via the 'contact' link at the top of every page; we shall make every attempt to resolve any problems with placing adverts.

How secure is the site?
Our site is secure in that any information you provide in registering or logging on will not be passed on to any third party by us.
Any information you supply in your advert will be visible to the public.
We strongly recommend that you use our automated email service in responding to ads and do not publish your own email address in your advert. This protects your email address from companies or individuals sending spam, junk email and fraudulent emails intending to con or mislead in order to gain funding or further personal information which could lead to identity theft.
Whilst our site is secure we advise our customers to exercise caution in all dealings with buyers and sellers; use common sense in transactions and never give any bank or other personal details.
For further information on safety and security, please refer to our 'Safety Advice' section in 'How to use this site.'

How can it be free?
Our service is funded by local businesses. Please help to keep this a free service by your continued support and use of this site. Please recommend it to your friends.
