Originally launched in 2002, Adsite.co.uk came about when the owners were looking to buy a sofa! - Having recently bought a computer they assumed they would have access to local classified ads with photos online, thereby saving time in viewings. On discovering that this was not available at the time, the wheels were set in motion to build adsite.co.uk
The aim of adsite.co.uk is to provide local communities with a free classified advertising service online. With over 10 million households accessing the internet in 2002 (according to government statistics) the numbers using online trading is ever increasing - providing users of our site with an ever increasing audience.
In the years since the launch of adsite.co.uk the site has been developed; to benefit current users by improving security measures to protect against the ever growing influx of spam; improving the visual aspects of the site and its ease of use; and accounting for future growth.
Our mission statement is: "support your local community"
Adsite.co.uk does not exclude local trade from placing classified ads, nor does it penalise them by adding charges. A local community needs local traders and as such Adsite.co.uk supports the small business in the local community.
